There is so much to do during pregnancy, where do you even get started? The best thing you can do is buy my pregnancy planner e-course. (just kidding—not really)
I recommend going onto Pinterest and finding a bunch of pregnancy planner checklists. Go through and figure out what your family needs to focus on then put everything into your calendar. Don’t just put it into a to-do list. That is overwhelming. You are welcome to have a “master to-do list” but I find with my clients it is easier for them to put it into their calendar. Then they can focus on just the week ahead.
A few things not to forget when planning your pregnancy out
Postpartum life- Everything is about the birth don’t forget postpartum
Finances- Your doctor’s office will probably put you on a payment plan. But you also want to be mindful of extra expenses like food, hospital out to eat, baby supplies, postpartum supplies, etc…
Mental health- Go ahead and schedule time with a counselor or someone you trust to help you stay on top of your mental health.
Boundaries- What type of parents do you want to be? How do you picture the last and first few weeks with the baby? Make a plan and some code words with your spouse/partner so they know when you need to implement those boundaries.
Make sure to check in with yourself often. Self-care is more than just a bubble bath. Make sure you are filling your cup and asking for help, even if you have asked for help 100 times and it feels horrible to keep asking–just do it!
